6. Húsavík

Husavik is a small town by the sea with about 2500 inhabitants, about 90 km from Akureyri. It is sometimes called: “The Whale Spotting Capital of The World” as it was the first place in Iceland to offer whale watching cruises. It has also a Whale Museum which is ideal for getting better acquainted with the giants of the oceans. It also has a very nice Folks Museum and easy atmosphere so it is nice just walking around.
